So, if you have run across one of my posts or met me in the chatroom, you'll know I'm currently in pharmacy school. While I was in class I began thinking about writing up information about medications for you guys. I'd likely start them after finals end (mid-May), and I'll pretty much cover any diabetes medication I can think of... from insulin (clearing up just what is different about all the different brands\types) to Type 2 medications to adjunct medications (like alpha-lipoic acid and garlic supplements). Granted, this would NOT be intended as a substitute for information from a physician or licensed pharmacist (I am still a student after all), but it'd certainly be informative and I'd be more than willing to answer any questions that you may have as well.

But I'll only do it if you guys show an interest, so let me know what you think

i'm interested. always good to know what's what in diabetes before getting biased information. thanks for being generous! it's always good to have a pharmacist nearby huh?

That would be amazing!! I know very little about insulin...aside from how to use it, and how long it takes to work.

Well, there seems to be a little interest anyway, but the herbals post under the Living forum seems to have attracted several people. Now, finals are over, so I'll have time to start posting these Med Info's for you guys soon, starting with a 2-post feature on insulin

Feel free to request a focus on any medication you may be on (diabetic or otherwise), if you'd like to know more.

However, again I reiterate that I'm still a (now 2nd-year ) student and that the information I'll be giving is NOT intended as a substitute for advice from a physician or a fully licensed pharmacist!
